Hi!!!
wow what an incredible day, THANK YOU for backing my record and believing in me! I am so grateful and amazed at what we have achieved already. I was so scared when we first talked about doing this and now I am blown away and feel so supported.
So fuck it! I'm gonna set a stretch goal! Like I said already I want to be able to take this record as far as I can. Wouldn't it be amazing if I could tour everywhere I haven't been to in one million years??!??!?!? (come to brazil you say???? yes pleassssse mami)
I wanna be able to tour as much as possible so my goal is to get to 2,000 backers. If we get to 2,000 backers I will send an unreleased NEW SONG to my Kickstarter fam only. We're a family, like the fast and the furious franchise.

JUST KIDDING!! obvi u r not in a horror movie rn and i am not a cult leader, obvi could be if i wanted to. But maybe you have a friend who likes my music and has $10 to spare and you could convince them to spend it on a digital download of my record! That would be amazing. Tweet about it, spread it on your socials. Would be so sick to come to brazil.

With under 24 hours to go, I am sitting here watching Alien Resurrection in awe of Sigourney's jaw and checking my intagram/twitter and kickstarter link just about every 60 seconds. This is such a wild RIDE!! FUCK.
THANK U FOR SUPPORTING ME YOU ARE INCREDIBLE HUMANS. I am so happy I do not have to rely on the archaic systems in place that basically told me "You don't fit in, get out". So happy to have found a new route and for you guys to be it. It is totally amazing, you are an inspiration to me.
I want to update you on a few things that have been added to the reward levels incase you missed them and wanna upgrade while u still can! Also I promised if we hit my stretch goal of 2,000 then I would give you an unreleased song, I will send it right after the campaign ends. Oh also, fyi, I rock climb now and my muscles have been destroyed, what with that and the social media overdose my arms can't go straight anymore. Just so you know.
SO First... These SICK Girl Gang Varsity Jackets that were designed by Kelsey Hart and myself, so much thought has been put into these. Every symbol, flower, every little detail is personal and means a lot to me. The patches will all be embroidered on, excellent quality and... where it says "Kate Marie" on the front, under the K, you can have your own name/nickname/whatevaaaaa sewn on instead. Customize it. ALSO there are 15 LEFT that come with PINK LIMITED EDITION MADE OF BRICKS VINYL <3
Next up is this dress that was designed for me during the "My Best Friend is You" campaign by Cooperative Designs, 2 independent female designers from London. I wore it to death. This reward also comes with unreleased, screen printed artwork assets, that were made for "Do wah Doo" single art. Pretty sick. Kinda Collector's vibe.
I hand painted an old acoustic guitar and a bass of mine (the bass already went) But I also have this sick lil 80s vibe musicman electric that can be painted by me and personalized if you want it!! You get a skype session with this package so we can skype and I can get all the info of what you want on it from you personally! Bunny not included!!
WOW can't believe tomorrow in like 18 hours I won't need to frantically check social media for a while. You guys are the frickin best. Ok so last week was pretty crazy! My EP IS OUT! My first release in 4 years! It was record store day!!! and Earth DAY!!!
The release of this vinyl is really special to me. The last few years have been an insane journey. It’s been difficult getting to a point where I am actually in a position to release music again. When I got a copy of the vinyl I like couldn’t believe it tbh. I feel so lucky to do what I do and getting it on vinyl just makes it so real. Hope you all had a happy Record Store Day!
So to promote the release of the E.P, Linda, Dannielle & I went on a radio promo tour. We travelled up and down the UK visiting places I haven’t been to in ages and doing acoustic sessions and interviews.
One of the guys I did an interview with said one of the coolest/most beautiful things about music and how it makes you feel. He was a massive fan and said when ‘Do Wah Doo” first came out, he would sit on the train and listen to it over and over again, he was like agghh this is such a tune and said that when he was listening to the song he thought “no matter what happens, no one can take this away from me”.
I feel like that sums up so perfectly what music means to people and also how and why you keep going within the industry even when it’s a struggle. The music is always yours, you always have it, it always has your back. It’s so cool.
Last week I also re-issued Made of Bricks on PINK VINYL! OMGEEEE!! Sold out of it in 2 hours! And loads of you have been asking about it since, so we are doing what we can to see if we can get some more made up, so keep your eyes peeled and keep checking my twitter for news!! I also announced a second date at Shepherd’s Bush Empire!! We sold out of the first date so fast that we are celebrating with a second! I’m so excited about that tour, I start rehearsing all the Made of Bricks stuff in a couple weeks. Gonna be filled with such nostalgia.
We also played a show at the Salisbury Art Centre last week, which is where Emma, in my band, grew up playing. We literally played a night with a bunch of kids, it was amazing, it’s so important to give back where you can and to stay engaged with the local community. It’s so powerful. There was an aristocats performance and a dance group and a bunch of cool teen bands and there were the cutest little girls in the front row at the show who all wanna learn guitar now. We spent the weekend at Emma’s place in the countryside and had piano singalongs and breakfast in the garden and watched zombie moves and stood in cow poop and saw stonehenge, spiritual times. Perfect location to land in for earth day!!
So kickstarter update!! I’m currently working on the final mock ups of the girl gang jackets!!! And the exclusive merch tee. I should get those finished in the next couple of days!! Can’t wait to show you those!!! And also I have 2 video treatments to share with you and a finished music video for Agenda!!!!
There’s 9 days left of the kickstarter!!! I’m trying to hit my stretch goal of 2,000 backers!! We’re so super close you guys are so amazing, spread the word where and how you can, the more backers I get the more likely it is I can come and perform in different parts of the world that I haven’t been able to get to for years! Want to push it as far as we can this last 10 days.
